JUSTICE AS TRAUMA

Vancouver Convention Centre
March 17-19, 2025

Rebecca Senior

Rebecca Senior (she/her) is the Crown Lead for Ga naa na ga waa ba dang, the Kenora Justice Centre. Working in collaboration with Indigenous leadership, Elders and community members, this Justice Centre strives to address the overrepresentation of Indigenous youth and young adults (12-24) in the criminal justice system. The Kenora JC prioritizes healing and restorative justice solutions and creates accessible pathways for culturally relevant, multi-sector supports that provide opportunities for growth and success, including trauma-informed supports for victims and survivors of crime and their families. Previously, Rebecca was an Assistant Crown Attorney with the Kenora Crown’s office, and has extensive experience working in remote First Nation communities.
