Jamie-Lee Tuuta
Jamie-Lee Tuuta (she/her, Ngai Tahu, Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri, Te Atiawa, Ngāti Tama, Ngāti Toa Rangatira) is a Barrister from Aotearoa, New Zealand. She has experience for iwi, the Waitangi Tribunal and in private practice. She is also court appointed lawyer for child and counsel to assist for the Family Court, Māori Land Court, and Coronial Courts. Jamie-Lee is a past president of Te Hunga Roia Māori o Aotearoa, the Māori Law Society. She was on the independent legal panel and a kaitakawaenga for the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care and Survivor Experience Service. Jamie-Lee has been and remains involved in a number of law reform projects.
